From the Head Boy & Head Girl

Ashburton College is an exceptional secondary school which provides every student with an excellent individual education.

Our school motto, “Resurgamus”, meaning “To go forward” is a central theme focussed on by students and staff of Ashburton College.

There is a strong sense of community within the school, which is reflected in the sense of pride and rivalry residing within the fiercely contested house competition. Our unique sense of house sprit is an important aspect of the culture of Ashburton College and its students. The four houses: Orange, Green, Blue and Red are an important part of our history, and continue to serve an important role within the college.

During our time at college, we have both been involved in many different opportunities which have cultivated our academic, cultural and leadership skills. Opportunities such as leadership camp, festival of the spoken word, speech competitions and senior mentoring set Ashburton College apart, creating a truly unique learning environment committed to excellence in education and growing well-rounded individuals.

As Head Students of Ashburton College, we are honoured to be the ambassadors for the students and the community of Ashburton.Our time here has been one full of great memories, successes, and most importantly, learning.
