Ashburton College is a wonderful secondary school that welcomes everyone.

The friendly attitude of staff and students alike is evident not just in college, but also throughout the whole Ashburton community. We are proud of our positive learning environment which when combined with students’ enthusiasm for extra-curricular activities makes Ashburton College the school to attend!

The opportunities available at Ashburton College are varied and almost endless. During our five years here, we have had the chance to take part in a wide variety of opportunities, ranging from educational through to sport, music, drama, international culture and naturally many social events! Students are commended for participating in activities outside the classroom as well as academic effort inside. We see this as an awesome aspect of Ash Coll - catering for all its students.

We have four houses: Blue, Green, Orange and Red. The house competition is fierce! Each house puts an enormous amount of work into the athletics day, swimming sports, inter-house sports competitions, the Festival of the Spoken Word, Lip-Sync and Music Evening in order to win the most points and claim the prestigious House Trophy. These friendly competitions produce many of the year’s highlights, and the house spirit stays with students long after they have left the college.

As head students of Ashburton College, we know that during our time here, we have been provided with countless opportunities as well as a positive learning environment. We both feel we have learned so much from our experiences at College and wish the same for all current and future students.
